Like so many already, you could raise your own egg layers! Started pullets simply means we would raise baby chicks for you, so you don't have to deal with the delicate early brooding stage. They are old enough that they no longer need the heat lamp or extra attention. 
 
We would like to make it as easy as possible, so we have different age options. Our recommendation would be that if you are keeping them inside or in a secure coop with some shelter, then 6 weeks would work for you. If you are going to free-range them or put them in a mostly open outdoor coop, our recommendation would be at least 8-10 weeks.
 
For Rhode Island Reds will start at 6 weeks for $12 and then increase by $1 a week.

All other breeds will start at $14 and increase $1 a week.
 
Please note: this payment is a non-refundable deposit and is required to reserve your started pullets. The remainder of the balance will be collected when you pick up your pullets.
Pickup Policy: All pullets must be picked up at the farm. Delivery is not included. Local pickup assistance may be available by prior arrangement—please contact us to discuss.
